Default Help with research of Gum, Inc. / Bowman Gum

Posted By: Chris

Hi All,

I'm working on an article regarding the history of Gum, Inc. and Bowman Gum, Inc. While information about Play Ball's and Bowman's is readily available, I'm having trouble tracking down specific company history for each. I have a few sources in hand but was hoping someone might have documents or other items related to the history of these companies that might add to my research. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Chris

Default Help with research of Gum, Inc. / Bowman Gum

Chris

In the early 1980's I wrote many articles on the Bowman cards (BB & FB). They
were published in SCD, Krause BB Card Mag., and more recently VCBC. I covered
sets from 1948 to 1953. I also, have done research on the 1939 - 1941 PlayBall
cards (Gum, Inc.) as they are products of the Bowman Gum Co.

What exactly do you want to know and where are you thinking of publishing this ?

Ted,

Thanks for your response -- I'll shoot you an e-mail with the specifics of what I'm looking for and what I've got so far.
