Allen & Ginter Help Needed
Hey guys, hoping to get some assistance on the below. My assumption is they were cut from an album or advertising piece.

Hi Greg - that's correct. The pack-issued cards will have the Allen & Ginter name at the bottom and, assuming they aren't skinned, the checklist on the back.

Definitely cut from an album. They would have the Allen & Ginter's advertising on them if they were skinned cards.

Album ones were thin paper. I've had a few of those before.

It’s from the A16 Allen and Ginter Premium Albums. Below is an excellent article which provides more background (see ‘Ginter Album Cuts’).
The Keefe looks very clean with no toning so may want to look at it under magnification. There are other examples where these thinner cut outs were placed in scrapbooks...likely done a long time ago in those instances as some of the cut outs came from extremely rare advertising pieces. https://www.sportscollectorsdaily.co...ginter-albums/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
