Default Tom Tresh Dies at 71

Today I was packing my orders from last night's ebay sales, and one of the cards was a 1963 Bombers Best, which features Mickey Mantle, Bobby Richardson, and Tom Tresh. I noted to myself how good all three players were.

A few moments ago I heard the news that Tom Tresh died. Now that's strange.

A great Yankee, and sad news.

You might want to alert any other surviving player that you packed last night.
Sorry to hear that. ROY I believe!

Bobby Richardson is the lone survivor of Bombers Best.

When I was a kid one of my buddies favorite players was Tom Tresh and we would have never ending debates on who was better--Tom Tresh or Vic Davalillo. After not seeing him for 40 years I heard from him and I said I guess we know who turned out to have the better career--he said wait a minute and the debate resumed after 40 years.

It's funny how we will never have any idea who is to pass on next. Tresh, a respected baseball coach and all-around nice guy leaves us suddenly, while Davalillo, by all accounts a temperamental/raging alcoholic womainizer to this day still thrives in a second world country. Some things we just weren't meant to understand.

The word "accounts" is considered profanity in your neck of the woods, Jodi?

Wow, what the heck is that all about? I certainly didn't do that edit! I'll try to correct it.

Are you kidding on my idol Vic?

If not,you say "by all accounts"--what are your sources here?
