Default Bill Corcoran Autographs?

All,

I was hoping for some help...

I purchased a Rogers Hornsby Cut (looked similar to those on ebay) this weekend from a gentleman who was liquidating due to health reasons... I will get to the point... the piece was mounted to a 3x5 and then put in a mat and frame combo. When I removed the piece I found a business card inside the frame from Bill Corcoran "your personal autograph source" on the back of the card it is written:

"this rogers hornsby art signature is gauranteed to be authentic for the life of the item" Bill C_ 8/20/99"

Is anyone familiar with Bill Corcoran's reputation as a seller/autograph expert?
Will this document hold up if I were to sell the item, or would you recommend I spend the $100 and get it authenticated???

I appreciate your opinions in advance.

David

When peope ask me for recommendations of autograph dealers there are very, very few names that I would recommend.
Bill would always get my unqualified recommendation.
Very knowledgable and totally honest.

Default Bill Corcoran

Bill Corcoran has an outstanding reputation in the industry. He's a first rate guy, and a great legitimate source for hard to find autographs.

Here's another thumbs up for Bill. He's one of the first people that I contact when looking for an item. Very honest and dependable.

No Issues whatsoever. Finding that business card in the back is better than finding almost any other business card in the hobby.

Straight up knowledgeable good guy!! I have done autograph shows with Bill in Florida, and always has great material and always willing to help. As good as any COA you could get.

Finding that business card is better than finding a third party COA from Please Stop Authenticating.

Thank you for your replies... Good to here that I have made a sound investment on this one... I am trying to build a collection of pre 60's HOF autographs, and I find it astounding at how much illegitimate material there it out there on the market.

Sadly yes, many many fakes out there. Education on your own, plus reading here too is the best way.
