Default The TRADER SPEAKS....March 1979 issue....Check it out

Love the cover. Love the GOODWIN Album. Actually, Barry Halper and I have more in common than these beautifully lithographed albums. A great guy to know.
I'll save my Barry Halper experiences for a future post on this thread.

I'll start with Bill Heitman's article in this Trader Speaks. Forthcoming, if you are interested, I'll post articles by Lew Lipset, George Lyons, and Tom Reid.

The TRADER SPEAKS, in its time, was a great hobby publication. Please share with us you old issues.

Default ted

many thanks for sharing the Heitman piece.
Since Lew Lipset wasn't able to provide us with the volume regarding F cards
(thankfully, he gave us 3 tremendous volumes rether key cards), I'm always
quite happy to see information on the F's.
It gave me the fun opportunity to go and take a look at my Wheaties Grove, Wheaties
PC Holland, Harrington Falk, Yuengling Hargrave, and Quaker Oats Ruth.
I need to give these more attention!
all the best, ole buddy

Publisher Dan Dischley's personal copy of issue No.1, with his note at the bottom that it was the "first issue off the press."

Lew Lipset's article on the five BB card sets issued by TOPPS in 1951. Also, continuing Elwood Scharf's article on 1930's Exhibit cards.

My scanning is not the best, but here is an article by Charles "Buck" Barker on PC-743 Bregstone St. Louis Postcards from July 1974 issue of Sports Scoop.

I believe I may have miscanned wher he said Bresnahan C and Mgr p/m 1909 and Bailey, P and * not with club in 1910.
