Default Help with an ID - Program Cover or Something Else?

At first glace, I was sure that this was a cover that was removed from a program, but the ad on the back of it kind of threw me off. Why would there be a March 6, 1909 date on the ad when the program would not have been distributed until the date of the Opening Day game, April 12, 1909?

Any chance that this is a promotional ad of some sort that was distributed in the pre-season, before Opening Day?

I have not seen this piece in person, so I do not know what kind of stock it is on.

Not sure why the photos are coming out sideways either. They look correct on my computer before I upload them.

The baseball side is the ad from the inside of the front cover of the Track Meet that was held the month earlier. In other words the event this was distributed at was the Track meet, still a cool early Walter Johnson piece. It appears maybe The Washington baseball team provided the programs for the meet to advertise the upcoming opening day game.

Thanks Rhett. Totally makes sense.
