Default T206 SURVEY.....Sovereign "NO - PRINTS" ? ?

Posted By: Pennsylvania Ted

Great going Scot......I had a sneaking suspicion that ole Mike would eventually show up, as all the other 150-only
cards have Sovereign backs.

That leaves only Lundgren (Cubs), Magie, Plank and Wagner from the 150 Series on the the Sovereign "No-Print" list.

Thanks much,

TED Z

I own only 2 Sovereigns. Neither on your list.
Good luck with this, Ted.

Why would Lundgren be in a class by himself?

Lundgren pitched his final major league game on April 23, 1909--after the 150 series artwork was created but before the 150 series was released. Also, The American Tobacco Company re-released Lundgren (Kansas City) in the 350 series. These facts probably explain why Lundgren (Chicago), unlike most 150/350 subjects, does not appear with Brown Hindu, Sovereign or Sweet Caporal.

It is my view that Lundgren (Chicago) is scarce primarily because it does not appear with these brands; I don't think Lundgren (Chicago) is in short supply with Piedmont 150, for example.

Scot Reader just said what I was getting ready to tell you. So, I'll just post my picture of the
3 backs he was printed with. The Piedmont 350 and the EPDG are seldom seen with this card.
