Very cool. With two showings at 1 and 3 it crazy to think any game can be shown in that span of time with or without commercials.

Do you need a ticket to attend the screening?

The NYT box score showed a time of game of 2:06 so they can probably squeeze things in somehow. Never knew that there was a copy of the broadcast extant. What a treat it would be to watch it. Maybe it will find its way to YouTube someday.

About $40 on DVD.

Thanks to David for pointing out that the link I previously had was wrong.

Allegedly, Stengel was asked afterwards if it was the best game he had seen Larsen pitch, and he replied, "So far."

Very cool.

I briefly owned Larsen's signed 1956 Yankees' contract.

Actually, this is the link to the DVD of the Larsen game at Rare Sportsfilms, which costs $39.95 plus shipping:

http://www.raresportsfilms.com/baseb...fect-game.html

An edited version of the game, with the commercials and postgame taken out and lacking the special features, is also available as part of the "New York Yankees Perfect Games and No-Hitters" DVD box set:

https://www.amazon.com/York-Yankees-...7067701&sr=1-1

The surviving kinescope of the TV broadcast starts in the middle of the top of the 2nd inning, so both versions above show stock footage along with the radio play-by-play until the TV broadcast starts.

Doak Ewing, the owner of Rare Sportsfilms, who discovered the kinescope of the Larsen game about 10 years ago, is also a vintage card collector who has a great collection of rare T206 backs. I've seen him at the last two Chicago Nationals and bought some cards from him.
