Nice of Baker and Rocci to put a sticker on the back, don't you think? Now all my concerns are assuaged.

Why seller didn't have GAI grade it, since Baker and Rocchi supposedly looked at it closely anyway--close enough to conclude that it was 71-29 centering. You'd think the seller would want the qualifer removed, which would have happened had he gone with GAI. Maybe he didn't want the label changed to the correct 1916, for fear it would throw that whole rookie thing up in the air

Todd: I think you are 100% correct.

I have noticed that PSA is NOT AFRAID to "amend" their labelling practices in accordance with the annual changes in Lemke's book.

For instance: PSA always labelled the E91 cards as being from 1908... but is NOW labelling them as 1910 because Lemke made the change. Same for E102s', etc.

SO... there will probably NEVER AGAIN be an M101-5 card graded by PSA with a "1915" label...

so maybe my Ruth card ANY my PSA label will be collector's items some day.

Having said that...

I hope the one sold by Sotheby's sells for $250,000.

I recently had PSA change a label on one from 1916 to 1915 for me.

Jason:

That is interesting. Tell us more.

How recently?

What was on the back? Blank?

Did you have to talk to someone personally?
