400-500 BOXES? Removed by the truckload? Yikes.

How much we have in common with this recluse. Are we like that little dude form Lords of the Rings, piling up little treasures. On one hand, it's the discovery of a life time, but it's also kind of depressing, too. Screw it, I think I'll buy a strip card tonight!

Chad,

You posted this literally at the exact same minute that I won my first 40's card EVER!

if it was a mint find, i would put the value at way over 1 million. most likely collector grade.
from an economic standpoint, no affect...unless they are high grade.

It looks like a bunch of modern garbage from the picture.

That initial report was fairly misleading. I would wear a mask too going through those '89 Bowmans.

The story states that the cards in albums were 1959-1985 and that the older stuff was wrapped in butcher paper and other boxes.

It will be years before the probate folks sort out the heirs' claims.

Mr. Mint is already hiring commandos to zipline in and seize the property.

"...Aftermath Cleaning Co., which was hired to tear through piles of trash 6-feet high to reach the cards..."

I can't imagine that the cards are in mint condition if they were buried beneath/under/around/near 6 feet of garbage!

It never stated anything pertinent about the cards except possible years. The gentleman was a pack rat. My guess is it will be no different than going to ebay and searching the 40's-80's categories......
