1. I got a 33 Goudey Grove in 1990 that I still own (now SGC 60), but my foray into T206 began in 1997 when I picked up my Matty White Cap (now SGC 60) and Bender Portrait (now SGC 50), both of which I still also have.

1. A little over 2 years collecting pre-war.

4. Won a T206 that was the highest graded(so far). Nothing spectacular, but I like it.

5. None (was working on a basic T206 Cleveland team set),now have moved on to try and collect some of the different backs of Cleveland players also.

I started building my current pre-war collection about 15 years ago.

The largest amount of pre-war items that I have owned is between 175-200 items. My collection is very diversified. I have cards, photos, pins, silks, postcards, and various types of memorabilia.

3. How many cards do you currently still own? (approximate)

Same as above.

4. What is the most significant individual card or item you've owned? Do you still own it?

It's a toss-up bewteen: George Gibson D322, E125, E90-2, and W600 or Ira Thomas T5 cabinet. I still own them. I also have owned and then sold a Bresnahan Novelty Cutlery postcard, Ira Thomas E104 and Thomas and Kling W600s.

1. Slowly collecting for 8 years, but I bought my first T206 16 years ago.

2. Probably about 150

3. Exactly 40

4. Nothing really significant, I guess. Value wise, I now own a T209-I Walsh SGC 50 which is a great looking card and has been owned by a bunch of people on this board. I don't really collect HOFers, so I don't have anything really significant.

5. I got very close to an E92 Dockman set, which is now almost all gone except for Chase, Jennings, and a great looking Schaeffer. (I didn't have the Matty or the Wagners: see #4). I'm at %75 of the T209 1 set (12/16), but I'm still collecting it

---30 years. I bought my first T206 and E90-1 cards at a convention when I was 8. One of the first T206's I bought was a UZIT back. No premium, same price as the others. I'm decidedly an on and off again collector. Of those 30 years, probably 10 have been spent actively collecting.

1. 7 years, but collected the shiny stuff for years before that, which helped fund my first pre-war purchases.
2. 95 pre-war
3. 90 pre-war (total collection: 140)
4. I don't know MOST significant, but probably one of these: e107 Plank, Tip Top Wagner, T206 Speaker Drum Back, M101-5 Ruth, Collins McCarthy Hornsby, DiMaggio Zeenut, or Aguilitas Charleston (I still own them all)
5. No sets (although I did buy a WWG near set which I intend to only keep one card)

Bought a '33 Goudey Dean in mid-eighties but didn't buy another pre-war card until around 2000.

Approx 850 when you throw in all the Zeenuts and miscellaneous T cards, CJs and M116s.

More or less same amount.

Depends on what you mean by significant. Rare? Iconic? Difficult to choose. I'll go with the pry-it-from-my-cold-dead-hands 1914 Cracker Jack Mathewson. A damn nice "two", ya?
