Thanks Leon! After completing, it's been upgrades since. These were image quality upgrades this time, but always looking to upgrade overall when it makes sense.

Default Shigeo Nagashima

Picked up some 1958 rookies (and one 1960 card) of the great Japanese player Shigeo Nagashima, Mr. Giants.

I recently got into Japanese cards and began picking up rookies/early cards of the greats - Oh, Nomura, Nagashima, Kaneda, Starffin, Kawakami. Other than Oh, these are cards are extremely affordable and I absolutely love the aesthetics and designs of these Japanese menko cards.

Although I don't collect them, older Japanese cards, like those shown, always look so fun. I especially like this one that you showed. Mr. Nagashima looks like he is a crazed lunatic hellbent on swatting down that little cartoon boy.

Although not a rookie like the others in the bunch, yes that is my favorite of the group It does look like he is looking at the bat boy rather menacingly.

Hey all just getting into pre-war and vintage and won 3 cards in my first-ever non-ebay auction for my project of cards for the roster of the 1903 Boston Americans. I got these 3 for $265 total including the premium. How did I do (I can take criticism if I didn't do well LOL)?

Others may disagree, but looking at VCP for similar cards I think you did well. Of course, any card is worth only what you or someone else is willing to pay.

Nice cards!

Great start. When it comes to T206, centering, color and general eye appeal are typically hotter commodities. Yours definitely qualify for the price. Nice pickups.

Just got this. Not in great shape, but I love the shot. Is it just me, or is this not one of Mick's best poses?

Happy to pick these up in Memory Lane, Wood has been on my list a long time, I especially like the registration on this one, a lot of them are a bit out of registration and his lips can be all over his face.

Not a card, but neat nonetheless....the 1913 U of Michigan yearbook....

I love it for two reasons...(1) it's my alma mater and (2) it features the best baseball player to come out of U of M.....Gorgeous George....no disrespect Mr. Larkin, Gehringer, Freehan, and Abbott.

Antique store find today, a 1919 Bill Rariden, Cincinnati Reds World's Champions postcard PC799 (postally unused). It’s in rough shape, but I was happy to find it. Headed soon to SGC.

Default Slogging on ... two more subsets complete. 5 down, 3 to go.

Two pickup from recent REA auctions ... both to complete subsets.

The hardest of the Millers ... and the Cycle subset is complete!

and from an earlier auction (don't recall that I posted it).

Weaver, and the Broadleaf subset is complete

Only Anon factory 3 Recruit (2), Napoleon (19) and Anon Factory 25 (7) are left ... and that'll be the next 10 years. Ya take what you can get with this accursed set.
