Searching Muchinsky's pinback book I found 3 pinbacks related to minor league baseball in Lincoln, Nebraska. It took me only 4 months to track down all of them when I found the third in this ebay lot. A minor miracle if I say so....

Congrats Dan! That is a quick turn around considering those pins can't be that common.

Thanks Mike. I have been searching for a run of Lincoln Athletics/Chiefs programs from 1947-61 and I am missing over half of them - I have been looking for years and I know they exist - so to find three items that I've only known about for about a year now is pretty satisfying.

Very nice Dan. Did you ever figure out a date on these pins?

I haven't dated them yet. They are 1939 or earlier because Lincoln was without a team from 1940-46 and they had a new park (Sherman field) when they started back up in 1947. I can probably pinpoint two of them because they are opening day...the July 16 one probably refers to a split season (not uncommon in the minor leagues) where July 16th was the beginning of the second half. That one may be harder to pinpoint.
