Default Vintage Catcher's Mask...Help Needed

Can anyone help me with this vintage catchers mask manufactured by Ken Wel based out of Utica, New York. Can anyone tell me what era (30s, 40s?) it might be from based on the design and/or Ken Wel tagging and if it's a baseball or softball mask? I'm guessing baseball due to the design of the metal part of the mask. I couldn't find any markings on it anywhere except for the letter "A" written on the inside. It doesn't fit my collection so also looking to see if it might have any value in it's current condition? Thanks!

I believe you are right in the 1930s/40s timeframe, and I also believe it is baseball. Unless the brand is a tough one, I think it would be worth about 20-30.00 in that condition. I hope others with greater knowledge will chime in.

Baseball definitely. Possibly a umpires model with ear protection. 1940s
