Couple of new arrivals from a random find, a 1935 Wheaties card of Wally Berger and an unused St. Louis Browns pack of matches.

And that shrunken head is topped by a sailor's cap for kids.

Thanks guys! The Lenox is a really tough low pop back for this pose...There's several more backs to this run, but they start getting very (very) tough, extremely low pop rare backs. Again, thanks to Chris B for helping me out.

Has anyone ever mentioned that your Cycle back looks very blue? I'm normally the first one to throw cold water on excitement over mysterious back colors, but damn that's blue looking!

Picked this up today at the Moeller show in Cincinnati. My first double-name that's different at the top - and a pretty good name to have!

Just picked this one off of eBay and I have to say this card wasn't easy to find a toughie for sure. Getting close to completing my 1910 Obak Vancouver Beaver's sub-set. Happy to add this one to my PC.

A cautionary tale on historical pricing on rare stuff... I started collecting WG1 game cards a few years ago and have a handful now. I got this Nash in Hakes for $389 and someone else won the Bassett in a 5 holder for $392.

I won with my marker bid and was underbidder with my marker bid. I missed the last day of the auction and could not bid. I would have gone higher on Bassett. The cards sold for almost the same price even though the Bassett is in much nicer condition. I guess I could say Nash was a better player, but not by a whole lot.

Default T209-1 Hub Gilmore

Delighted when Mr. Gilmore arrived today after vanishing for 10 days.

Seller mailed it on the 17th. USPS tracking showed that a tracking number had been created. Emailed seller on the 24th, to inform him that USPS tracking stopped after label created.

I now have both the catchers in the set, and as luck would have it, the Hub Gilmore is missing the tax date stamp, whereas, the Joe Walsh T209-1 has the tax date stamp.

Default T200 Fatima Set Completed

and with this pickup, the I've completed the T200 Fatima set. The price was right for the quality/card. Once received, it will ship to SGC with 2 other PSAs and a few SGC re-slabs for uniformity. Once they're back, we'll get a group photo!

Oh, and it's another Cobb.

A couple low-grade additions to start up a new player collection for “Silent” George Burns.

Already it’s proving to be a pain finding his cards while dodging “Tioga” George Burns, comedian George Burns, and golfer George Burns.

Default T206 Fred Jacklitsch

This nice T206 arrived today. One of the few T206 catcher poses I have never owned before. Liked the registration on this one.

Big Dan Brouthers has been near the top of my want list for a long time. I had many positive conversations with Net54 members on various cards to pick up this month but ultimately landed on this one. Suits my needs just fine.
