Default New Breed Of T206 Counterfeits

I've never seen these before. They look almost home-made. I am very surprised by the number of bids already. The seller is not using a private auction, so it would be possible to contact bidders to alert them to this fraud.

I've emailed the seller, his reply was he was selling cards for a friend and did not know about old cards. Said he'd take them off eBay. We'll see.

As of Sunday morning, only 2 bidders, both shills?? I've contacted both, warning them of the reprint status.

I like contacting the sellers, where you ask them a question. Dear seller, the T206 card you've listed is a reprint. Type is wrong, color of backs are wrong. Rather than have lots of trouble when some buyer gets the card and sees it is a reprint, why don't you end the auction and avoid the fraud problems you'll face, now that you know the card is not real?

I've had several bidders express gratitude after cautioning them on bogus T206s and E145s.

Frank.

But, they are absolutely awful reprints. outer boarders are bigger than the card and the type is all in Caps, with the wrong type? Ray Charles e-mailed me and said they looked like reprints.

Is it just me or does Ohio seem to be a hotbed of this kind of stuff? I wonder if it is one person that is passing these off on other sellers. Jim

Hey Joe, you know Ray Charles couldn't possibly have emailed you about what those cards look like! He's dead!
