Default When a seller's answer speaks volumes (ebay)

Posted By: Bob

I emailed the seller of a pre-war card today which purports to be "authentic, I don't sell reprints or gray-market stuff" and asked him if I won the card and it was submitted to a grading company, would he reimburse me if it came back a replica or fake and he said, "no, there are too many people pulling scams out there. As is." Huh? He guarantees its authenticity then tells me it is sold as is. I didn't fall off the watermelon truck and I know a "tea-aged" front when I see one, even from a set I am not very familiar with. Needless to say, I didn't bid.
Agree or disagree?

I had heard that if you do not stand behind your item on ebay, it is required that you sell it as a reprint. I guess that I am misinformed on that. But I sure wouldn't bid on this card.

It's a obvious repro & messed with as well
Did u read his listing closely?

90% of the listings on ebay tell u who the scammer are if u read carefully

the scammers play "stupid"
the scammers "sell as is"
the scammers "give u a story that doesn;t make sense to any sane adult
the scammers are afraid of "too many scams out there"
the scammers "do much too much double talk"
the scammers "offer a guarantee that is a NO guarantee"

these guys belong in prison

AVOID these slime at all costs

my best deals on ebay were the one;s I didn't bid ON

On the back near the bottom something is rubbed out -- isn't that where the word "reprint" shows up on this reprint/issue?
