Default 1933 Ryder Cup photo

I just posted this over on the golf side - - but I thought, especially with the 'all sport' votes for memorabilia - that maybe some would enjoy this here.

A recent pickup that just arrived.

One of my favorite events in golf is the Ryder Cup. Here is a great large photo (12" x 16") of one of the earliest American Ryder Cup teams (along with some from Britain). 1933 was the fourth ever Ryder Cup - - and here is the photo (signed by Gene Sarazen).....

description and scan from the auction house:

1933 Ryder Cup photo - autographrd by Gene Sarazen
This is an original 1933 Ryder Cup large format photo of the 1933 Ryder Cup
Team, which included Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, Horton Smith, Paul
Runyan, Craig Wood, Ed Dudley, Johnny Farrell, Olin Dutra, Leo Diegel,
Denny Shute. Also accompanying the team photo is Price Edward. This large
photo itself is spectacular, but it also contains a 1930's autograph of Gene
Sarazen. This photo measures 12" x 16".

Default Ryder Cup photo

That is a great photo and rare in that large format. The clarity looks really good too. Was there any info on where the photo originated?

sorry such a late reply.
I do not know where the photo originated.

The recent auction did not really give that much info in the description.

A LOA came with the photo (because of the Sarazen autograph) - and it seems this photo was also auctioned off in a September 2009 Clean Sweep auction.
