Default Mastro does it again

The new catalogue is out and I feel like a 6 year old kid getting the Sears Christmas catalogue back in the 50's. The one thing driving me nuts is that, as usual, a couple of cards I really need are lumped in a huge lot of vintage cards.
PETE!!! Drop me an email, otherwise we will kill each other running up one of the lots and you know which one!

These catalogues always blow me away. In addition to many cards I have been looking for and would love to own the Mastro auctions almost never cease to amaze me by presenting cool items that I didn't even know existed. If only the stock market hadn't tanked...

My one gripe (besides not having Bill Gates money to spend) is that some of the items I would like are part of larger lots (probably not the same ones that T-Bob wants).

I paid somewhere around $100 for the priviledge of receiving the last one - I assumed after that, and after spending about $1,400 with them, that I would get the next one without asking, but I'm sort of new at this, and don't want to screw up and have to bid blind like last time.

..... and I live only a few miles from the Mastro office. I'm sure they are on their way.

I haven't received mine yet, but assume it should come early next week. In the past, I have always received mine a few days after the auction started online, so was surprised others had received theirs this early.

...AGAIN!!! Of course, the fact that I've never bid in a Mastro Auction MAY have something to do with that!

I was told that when I paid for my subscription that I would receive catalogs for a year and if I bid in their auctions, would continue to receive them indefinitely.

From what I recall, I usually get mine 3 or 4 days after the first sighting.

They are always a pleasure to look at and in conjunction with a list of the prices realized make for a very valuable reference tool.

The last time I consigned some items to Mastro, I received a free auction catalog. Since then, nothing. I bet Steve Verkman gets one Maybe I'm on their "blacklist."

I was just told that if I was an active bidder then I would continue to receive the catalogs.

The 1874 Boston Team Cabinet is a BEAUTY!

But again... Don't have that kind of money.
Hope someone from the board wins it and share closer scans for all of us.

to CA a few days after the auction starts. I keep all of the old ones on the book shelf. They are a great pictorial resource. It never ceases to amaze me that they get such awesome stuff every auction. I've won a few things and have consigned once. I got a pretty nice 1951 Bowman box (empty) two auctions ago.

But the entire catalog should be online tomorrow -- so that should help out any of you who don't yet have the hard copy.

Maybe because I am a past consignor, maybe because I am an active bidder, but probably because I lose but end up bidding up so many lots

Mine come like clockwork too. The problem is that watch I ordered from L.L. Bean hasn't come either.

Actually, I do most of my auction browsing on computer (I have a laptop that works just as good from the couch as from the desk), but have kept all the past catalogs and find them useful as references.

You can't bid unless you subscribe to the catalogue (or are getting one because of recent past bids). I just talked to Mastro (no, I don't mean Bill Gates with a nasal voice), and, having gotten Mastros catalogues free for years and years, was told to fork over $75 for the sports catalogues, because I hadn't bid in the last 7 auctions--they keep track of that sort of thing.

The nice lady said they'd gotten so big ("especially since we acquired Americana"...?) that they just can't affrord to send free catalogues to people who don't bid regularly.

When did I get that little Ppicture of Gandil...and where?
