Default Oddity of the 1909 Obaks

1910 and 1911 Obaks are some of the most beautiful tobacco cards ever produced. On the other hand, the 1909 set is not as refined. In fact, some of designs are just plain odd.

The Gus Fisher card is a prime example. Take a close look at the picture. Someone missed adding the color to the catcher's mitt. Only a small portion of his wrist and glove are colored. Two thirds of the glove were left the same grey color as the chest protector.

Here is my Drummond Brown card. Again a bit strange in the design. His hand looks like he could be part tree frog.

Let's see some more 1909 obaks!

Default D. Lewis Glove

Thanks for sharing Leon!

What's up with the D. Lewis card and the glove(s) ?

Never noticed the team logos reversed/mirror images on your Obak strip before.
