Default 1955 Topps AA Thread

Thanks to Jeffery for sparking the increased interest in this portion of Net54. I'll post my '55 set over the next month in groups of three. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, it is by far my favorite set. Everyone of these individuals are leaders on and off the field.

Forgive the blurry scans as my scanner doesnt really like the graded cards either (Jeff, if you crack the settings code please let me know).

Cool thread! I really like this set and completed it a few years ago (a mix of PSA 7's and 8's, with a few 9's thrown in for good measure). I'll be checking in as this thread goes on....

Default Questions on back

We should count how many answers on the back of these cards are now wrong. I didn't realize there was a time when talking to the other team was a penalty. Maybe Roger Goodell should look at re-instituting that one and stop all of the trash talking!

I guess I never looked close enough to the background of these cards to notice that the scenes don't seem to have anything to do with the player depicted on the card. I had always assumed these were action shots of the player on the card but that doesn't seem to be the case. Some of the scenes are used more than once.

Default 4x All-Americans

Because he's mentioned on the back of Topps AA Card #29, I thought you all would like this scan. Note that there are more than two players who have been 4x All-Americans.

Thank you to a fellow Net54 board member for helping me fill this hole in my collection. You know who you are!
