Default Albert Einstein Photo Type

Hello All,

I just purchased these Albert Einstein photos and I am trying to find out which type they are. I understand most of the photos in this forum are baseball related but I hope that someone can help me with my photos. I have learned a lot reading through the previous posts but still I am not good enough to determine the differences between type 1, 2, 3, and 4.

I am extremely sorry if I am repeating the same kind of questions or posts from the past. But I greatly appreciate your help!

Sam

All the ones with captions on the front are likely Type 3 wire photos (photos printed off of a duplicate negative within roughly two years of the photo being shot). If they are not Type 3's they are type 4's (same thing but printed after roughly two years from the photo being shot). It's difficult to tell what era the photo paper is from online unless it is in the caption or there is a date/publisher stamp on the back.

Thank you. Are they worth less than press photos? Just also want to get an evaluation on them.

Thanks

Looks like they are all type 3 photos. Technically, and more correctly, they are press photos. However, I think what you mean are they worth less than an original period photo ( Type 1) : the answer is yes.
