Default Wish I had purchased this at the original asking price on the back

Just fun to see what some cards were valued at at some point and time....

As we will see in the not too distant future, our collecting forefathers valued our cards at 1-2 cents ea. for many years in the early hobby.

At the rate of inflation, $40.00 today was worth two cents in 1909.

I seem to recall that the T206 Wagner was at $50 when Jefferson Burdick started his catalog work, and we have discussed here that one went for $1100 in 1973 or 1974, which was later sold for $1.5 million in a Goodwin auction, if memory serves correctly. I could have afforded a Wagner only during the late '70's, but was buying Corvettes instead, and souping them up. Oh well.

Highest regards,

Larry
