Default This '33 Ruth #53 isn't real, is it?

The giveaway for me is the red "big league" banner at the bottom. It comes to too sharp a point on the right side; looks like this was facsimiled from a real copy, especially when you look at the super-sized image and see the shading around the edges of the red banner.

Aside from the borders looking REALLY big, of course.

also check out the bids...a couple of very likely shillers to drive up the price, and note that someone very kindly threw in a retraction/warning as well. A good fake, but probably one of those "too-good-to-be-true" scenarios.

Definitely fake. Looking at the supersized picture of the front you can even see the dot pattern of the color printer.

I feel sorry for the high bidder.

The borders are too wide, too white (wrong kind of paper). Also, the big league banner is perfectly lined up with the picture (not impossible, but unlikely). The yellow in the picture looks too dark, and the blue in the cap appears to be wrong (although it is difficult to be sure with a scan). On the reverse, there is no bleed through (however, not always there on real cards). Also, there is paper missing on the reverse, including conveniently where the word reprint would be. Even if it was real, with the missing paper on the reverse, it is still a very high price.
