Default Show me your favorite BROOKLYN card.

Hey, why not? I'll continue the trend! Sorry there is a little bias on this one...I do collect Brooklyn and Chicago players (almost) only. Anyone else care to share? Even though there are not two teams to choose from like Chicago, Brooklyn has a heck of a history!

Now, after my above defense to the non-existment argument about my creation of this thread, I will begin...

EDIT: If you want to downsize on some of these, I have an email for contact and money ready

I know these aren't prewar but I got my vintage start collecting Brooklyn Dodger cards, especially Roy Campanella. The '53 Topps was my first vintage card and will be the last card I ever sell. I may chose to be buried with it.

Default N172 Visner

I've always liked this image of Joe Visner. The facial expression and the body language are hilarious (looks like he just had his lunch money stolen by the class bully) and you have to love the checkerboard uniforms.

Here are 2 of my raw Superbas that I like the best---the Burch, I believe, is a slightly uncommon common w/a great background scene and the Wilhelm I love for his angelic pose as he prepares to fool the batter by throwing a ball he does NOT have in his hands!

No Brooklyn cards in the box right now, but some super stuff shown.
I love the Wheat cards with the pimp tilt on his hat, and I feel like Mr. Visner is going to steal my lunch money!
Good stuff,
Bob
