Default My lucky charm

Okay, time to reveal your lucky charm or routines.
In 1997, mine was a Detroit Red Wing gold tie pin. When I was at the games and wore that pin, they never lost. Or at least I don't remember them losing. But I saved it for the playoffs only, after all, didn't want to use up all that luck. It worked for three years, before I lost it. I even had the ushers asking if I brought my pin.
I know, no such thing as luck, or is there.

So confess, what lucky charms, routines, socks or rabbits feet did you have?

I wear an Indian head penny on my necklace. It reminds me that we make our own luck.

Alex,

Good answer, I am not really superstitious. The gold Wings pin was something that just snowballed. I mentioned to other coworkers and ushers at the Wings games that it seems everytime I wear the pin, they win. So it got to be a joke with others around me, at first, then it was like, "hey, did you bring you pin"? And they were dead serious.

So it went on during the playoffs for 3 years. When I lost it, they lost. But I am sure there are others who have a routine out there, can't drink a beer before they score their first run or TD, and how about those rally caps?

I am sure there are some crazy routines out there that some of us may do before or during the games. What's yours???

I have a saint Christopher medal that got me thru Iraq, Afghanistan and Baharain this season I'm wearing it around my neck for every O's game I'll check back in at the end of the season and let everyone know if it worked. Gotta try something no World Series in 31 years.

33rd street, glad it got you through Afghanistan. That's a keeper.

Trying it out on the O's gave me an idea. If we can find something that works, we could sell it to the Cub fans. They are probably to the point to try anything. I feel for you guys, we have the Lions.

Billyb,

I'm pretty sure the cubbies need more than that! 31 years isn't anything compared to that heartache. If it works I'd mail it to you just promise me that cubs fans won't turn into Red Sox fans! J/K sox fans

Just looked at your post again but yeah the lions arnt no better than the cubs. At least you guys had Sanders. No doubt the best back I've seen although some Bears fans might disagree.

Yea street,

He was sweet, and he did it with an inferior Offensive Line in front of him. If it wasn't for the Lions management, he would easily be on top for most career yards. Best running back I ever seen.

The lions are so bad that the greatest running back of all time decided to quit rather keep playing for them. I mean damn.

It breaks my heart that he didn't play longer because he was so damn talented. However I am glad that he seems to have escaped major injury.
