Default SOLD - 1890 Harper's Weekly - May 3 - Supplement w/13 BB HOF'ers Pictured

Posted By: Phil Garry

Good Afternoon, Collectors:

I am now asking $200 for a VERY COOL and VERY RARE collectible, a Vintage, Original 1890 Harper's Weekly Baseball Supplement dated May 3, 1890 and entitled Opening of the Base-Ball Season of 1890. This beautiful piece pictures baseball player portraits and full body action poses of 13 Hall of Fame Greats: Adrian "Cap" Anson, John "Monte" Ward, John Clarkson, Dan Brouthers, Tim Keefe, Buck Ewing, Ned Hanlon, Mickey Welch, Bid McPhee, Charles Comiskey, Mike "King" Kelly, Sam Thompson & Roger Connor along with several other great players of the era. The Supplement consists of two pages with both sides of each page covered with 19th Century Baseball's Greatest Players!!!

Condition of the Supplement is phenominal with only a small 1/2" tear at the top center of the Supplement which in no way touches any of the player's images. In addition, there is excellent baseball content as well as the beautiful player pictures and I have provided scans of all four pages for your enjoyment. Where else can you find a career contemporary collectible with 13 - 19th Century BB HOF'ers on one piece!!!

If interested, please e-mail me at: vguerrerobb@yahoo.com.
