Hey guys,
My name is Nick from Miami, FL. I current go to Emory University and Im double majoring in Political Science and History. My favorite hobby is collecting sports cards by far. My collection includes vintage HOF rookies (all sports), Miami Dolphin Autos and High-End, and any other thing that catches my eye. I also have an extensive memorabilia collection from just about every sport.

FYI: Im an approved group break host on BO forums, a moderator on combat cardboard, and a member on SCF.

Joined this site because I heard it was the best vintage community and Im looking to expand my Hall of Fame Rookie Collection for all the major sports.

-Nick

Default Welcome on the first not hot day of the winter season

35 years here after 37 in Boston. We live on Brickell Ave. not much in the way of card shows any more.

Wow cool, definitely rarely any significant card shows. Dania Beach Card Show was probably the most notable.

First T206 early 1970's in the Tropical Drive In Flea Market off Coral Way. At this little table, T206's(HOF or not) were all $1 Goudey Ruth was $7. My dad gave me money to buy Lajoie T206, a Goudey(not Ruth) and a Playball Gehr...I still have them minus the Goudey. Spent a whopping $3...Theatre is long gone. Used to go to shows at Don Carter Kendal Lanes bowling alley in 1980's.(Think lanes are gone also).

Miami has changed so much since 1970. It was cool then, Kendal was mostly empty land everywhere. Turnpike to Chrome Avenue empty. Not now.

Ill never forget my hook to this hobby started there.

Yes Kendall is massive. No real card shops any more. Only one by Dadeland mall and the guy has great stock but knows nothing about the hobby. His prices are out of this world on singles and wax.

Yes, as often the case.

I have returned from a Flea Market Tampa. Several card sellers. Prices on postwar out of sight, not at all in line with reality. No prewar I see.

These sellers, are not a source
