Default Does anyone have info on these?

I picked up the white with red patch, to go with my others. All are 2.5 inches. I just noticed the new one has baseball stitches. The seller description was: "From the series of felt, screened MLB baseball team logo patches utilized in a youth jacket design, sold at the Best & Co. flagship store located on 5th Avenue in New York City. The complete set consists of 16 different teams, which dates from 1954." I have no idea if this is accurate. I kind of think my new one is a repro (the graphic is a bit crisper and the felt is not as fuzzy, among other differences). No big deal. Anyway, can anyone confirm the seller's description?

Don't know if this helps but I have two similar still in bubble gum machine containers. Bought them years ago off eBay. Write up says they were from a Estate sale in New Jersey of a couple who owned a candy store. I have not opened them. Now I understand what everyone says about estate sales.

More info from seller:
This is a VERY RARE UN-Open Vintage & Original 1954 Gumball bubble gum Machine Chicago Cubs M.L.B team sew on or iron on patch. This Patch measures about 2 inches in diameter & is clean and in Great condition in its ORIGINAL unopened Gumball machine capsule. Each capsule has a Info/Ad mascot Emblems and small piece of paper insert that has "Get all 24 different emblems". These Gumball machine patches were found in the attic of an estate sale of a family that owned a Candy store in New Jersey from the 1930's thru the 1970's along with thousands of other gumball prizes sitting unused and unopened for almost 70 years!! These patches were usually ironed on baseball caps, shirts or Jackets in the 1950's. These patches came in RED (baseball with seams with team name), Navy blue (baseball with seams & team name), YELLOW (batter with team name) & WHITE (batter with team name). Open patch pictured is an extra shown for example of the type inside the unopen capsule
