Default Question about these Mantle and Aaron “exhibit” cards...

Hey guys, picked these up at an estate sale. They have a swirly/textures sort of back to them, couldn’t find any on eBay like this. What are they?

is there some sort of paper adhered to the back? Hard to tell by the photos. The whole thing looks a little odd, particularly with the random stamps attached to the back for no conceivable reason.

Yeah, probably attached to scrapbook paper. But that could be to cover up the backs, which are a way to tell if they're reprints.

Here's the back of one. It honestly seems like the back was printed this way.. it doen't look like paint or wear or anything... ?

You think maybe the photo album stickiness peeled a tiny bit of the back off? They don't feel rough at all, very smooth.

I'm assuming someone intended to mail these but never did. I know the stamps are from 1970 or so.

My guess is that someone added these stamps, which likely don't have any collectible value, to the back to make them look older than they are. I'm leaning towards fake but, without knowing what is attached to the back, it's hard to tell.
