Default Any REA wins last night?

Any nice pick ups from last night's REA auction last night? I set and then ignored my budget ceiling and came away with this T227 Home Run Baker that I have been lusting after for the last couple of years... excited to add this to my PC.

Any other wins to share?

I won a Famous & Barr common as an M101-5 back type. That is a great looking 1! I guess it is for the tobacco stains on the front (and you can pretend those are dirt stains on his uniform).

I really wanted that T200 Cleveland team card but went higher than I thought it would.

Default seeing one less Dot

Tough back, higher price than I thought it would go for, but puts me one away from the Dots Miller back run.

Another auction where the sheer amount of N172 commons seems to have depressed the overall hammer price (40-ish "commons" out of 44). The prices were not wildly down, but overall weak compared to recent auctions.

They were all low-grade (AUTH to 4), but 24 of them finished at $300 or less with the buyer's premium.

I snagged an oldschool-label SGC 4 Tom Burns and I'm happy with the $390 price on it.

Bringing home these 2 Killebrews. Wrapped up the VZ Killebrew run and immediately put on the Killebrew vs Mantle Home Run Derby episode.

Realizing this is the wrong section for these cards... feel free to tell me to pound sand.

I won 2 T206 PSA 5's (Bradley & McIntyre) at a very decent price. I had 3 T206 PSA 4's consigned as well- which did not go well for me. Prices are continuing to fall for this set. I'm afraid prices will continue to fall over the remainder of 2024 as well.

I came away with the T206 Bobby Wallace with a Sovereign back, for which I thought was a reasonable price.

Thank you! The Derby might very been an overpay but it's just too rare of a Killer. And anything nicer would push $1k.

Working on the PSA version of the Glory of Their Times set and added the T205 Lobert. The borders on these are always tough.Past the halfway point of the set being complete though.

If hockey is permitted...

I picked this George Armstrong up as an addition to the 1957 Parkhurst set I am building.

The first five cards in each "series" (Montreal and Toronto) are SP's. I'm building this in 6-7, as I feel that is the best bang for the buck to build a nice set without stupid pricing.

Every auction seems to have a set break of T206. I know because i have to bypass all of them to see what’s in the auction. Cant help prices.

Interesting. Do you have anymore to sell this year and will you use an AH to sell?

I have seen the same in some midgrade tobacco as well. It has definitely dried up from two years.
