This is a fun quiz... can you tell the real Stan cards from the fakes?

Keith, very nice job on the ersatz Musial cards.

I like those as much as the originals.

(I got 10 out of 10 of course)

I'm a big fan of Keith's "cards" but I am exceptionally blown away by his 1958 Topps-style Musial.

Thank you. It was fun to work on it with them.

2 Bobs... the '58 actually made it onto a press. I'd be happy to send you copies!

I've got to agree. The '58 is the best. I still don't know why Topps didn't make that card. They found space on the high number sheet for three copies of Musial's all star card. Couldn't they have dumped one of those in favor of a regular card?

Keith,
I would be happy to buy a copy of that '58 and the '57 too for that matter to put in my sets.

It's nice to see he actually used the right uniforms for the appropriate years. Topps Heritage has made a couple Musials in recent years where they used a jersey before it was actually created, such as using the post-1956 uniform on a 1955 Topps card ... it's a common problem with the Topps Heritage "tribute" cards. Some of them are just ridiculous, like using 70s photos on early 60s cards ...

It's nice that you noticed the uniforms Chris. I always try to find images that are specific to the era of the cards. I also hate it when Topps uses a photo that is out of whack by a decade or more from the set they are mimicking.

I was 9 for 10. I missed the first one. I am not familiar with that set at all.

10 for 10, maybe not 10 seconds
The cards are phenomenal Keith, love the face on the '53, but agree with the Bob's, the red background on the 1958 really pops out at the viewer. Thanks for sharing.
