All I can say is that the reason I tried my hand at promoting a show was because of various issues I had with promoters with whom I was working, as a dealer. I can honestly say that Joe was pretty much the example I was shooting for in terms of responsiveness, honesty, and actually promoting a show instead of trusting that inertia would keep it running. I couldn't be more excited to be doing yet another Joe Drelich show!

Hello Joe,

I was excited to hear of this transition when I first heard rumor of it last month. One of the big things that has irritated many dealers/collectors about the show has been the rule below taken directly from the dealer rules posted on the phillyshow website. Could you provide your feedback and advise if you will be rescinding this rule or keeping it in force?

26. Any dealer who wishes to exhibit at the Philly Show may not exhibit at competing sports show with (50) miles of the Valley Forge venue
within (60) days of a Philly Show date. (NOTE: Per dealer inquiries, this policy applies to major sports convention shows only. Small ‘mall’
shows and dealer ‘shop’ appearance shows are not applicable).

Thanks
DJ

I drove down to the last show and really liked it. Probably because buying cards, playing card games at a casino, and drinking a few Coronas pretty much covers my current vices. One stop shopping.

Seriously, I was really happy with the amount of vintage stuff. Probably better than the most recent White Plains shows I've gone to.

I will let Joe answer that (hi Joe) but I addressed that with him yesterday on the phone. I was happy with the response (and unhappy with that rule).

Congratulations Joe! Looking forward to seeing you at the show.

Any chance you can bring Jayson Werth in to sign at one of the future shows?

Default I'm coming back

I'll be back in March thanks to Joe's involvement. I've known Joe for god knows how long now and have complete confidence that he will try his hardest to run a successful show, and that is all we can hope for from a promoter. Looking forward to many future shows as well.

Thank You Joe!

I'm setting up a meetup on Friday night at the show with my secret facebook group called Tobacco Row. I pointed them to this thread for the free admission.

Thank you very much for doing that!

Good Luck and Thank You again for keeping this show going and improving it over time!

My role, along with majority ownership, will also be full management of the show. David will be staying on as a minority owner. The rest of the shows support team will be staying on in their familiar roles, with the exception of Cheryl. Cheryl will be helping transition us through the March show and will resume her position with Hunt Auctions for all future shows.

Many of you have voiced concerns about certain aspects of the show in recent years. I can assure you, that I am dedicated to addressing your concerns very quickly in order to improve the show for all involved. I am asking you all to please come out and support this great show. In return, I am offering FREE admission on Friday March 3rd to any Net54 member. I am also offering 50% off admission for Saturday and Sunday. Please just print off this email and bring it with you. I would like to hear from you, feel free to send me a direct message or just post a reply on this board and I will be sure to monitor it and reply.

There will be many new/old dealers returning for the March show, so I encourage you to please come and take a look with an open mind and a fresh set of eyes. There will be many new changes coming that I think will all be for the betterment of the show, most of them will be rolled out by the September show. I will be sure to share more details and keep everyone updated about them in the near future.

I am truly passionate about seeing this iconic show succeed. I do not want to see this great hobby relegated to the likes of eBay and Paypal. This hobby is more than just the value of cardboard, it's about the people and it's very hard to enjoy it sitting behind a keyboard. There are many great people who have said YES to supporting this show and I want to thank them here. So please come out March 3rd-5th and say hello again to one of the best
vintage card shows on the East Coast!

There are still a limited amount of booths available, if you are interested in setting up please reach out to me directly. The floor plan can be found on the website at www.phillyshow.com.

If you plan on coming to the show, or setting up again, please post here on the board and let everyone know. Also please find me , I'd like to meet with you and say hello.

Joe,

I have attended this show since I was 8 years old with my father at the George Washington Motor Lodge. At that time, we would look forward to March and September to see what old stuff dealers were going to bring. In recent years, it seems that the show has transitioned to slightly newer material and the dealers with vintage stuff stayed away and stopped doing it. I hope with your involvement this will change.

Best of Luck, and haven't missed a show in 36 years!

I attended yesterday and had a great time. There was (in my opinion) a good selection of cards available and the dealers I interacted with were polite and professional.

While at the show, I was happy to make these two pickups.

Kudos to the new ownership for putting together a quality event. I will definitely be attending again in September.

Best regards,

Eric

I always kind of feel like the Philly show and the White Plains ( Basically a New York City Show ) chug along together with many of the same customers / dealers. It will be interesting to see if the Philly / Valley Forge show starts to "pull ahead" in terms of popularity & attendance at this point. Would be interesting to get the perspective of a Don Hontz or another dealer that has done both shows.

Default Never Miss

Stopped by the show today before most of the autograph signers started and was extremely pleased to see that the floor seemed like an "old" show. It had a different feeling about it, along with many more shoppers. It seemed busier than most shows have been the last 5 years or so. Tons of vintage, not a bunch of memorabilia, but great vintage nonetheless.

Kudos to Joe on re-energizing a great show!

It was great meeting you Ted. Regret that I couldn't chat more, but flying solo it's tough to get away from the booth!

Hey Danny

It will be like the "good ole days" again with you at this Show. Looking forward to seeing you.

I will be setting up at Booth # 412.

I hope to see some of you. Just "talking BB", or wheeling-n-dealing Sportscards this Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

I'll have for sale (or trade) cards from 1887 thru to the 1970's. With 200+ T206 cards (Stars, SL's & Commons).
Including some tough backs (AB 460, red HINDU, PIEDMONT 460/42, and UZIT).

Have a great weekend.

Since I'm doing the show in the middle of moving, I'm mainly going to have bins from 25˘ to $20. Definitely something different for me. Will have a few other odds and ends including a 1955 Topps Set with Clemente and Koufax both in PSA 5. Sucks that I can't walk around much and say hi to N54 Dealers. Please everyone stop by and say "hi" booth 710.

BGS is doing raw card review. Both SGC and PSA where there. I had 30 autos to drop off with PSA but the line was extremely long.

Good mix but certainly more vintage. Was quite surprised to see so much modern basketball/ hockey cards!

Picked up 7 206's from three sellers
