Default T206 Portrait Red Background

Hello. I’m fairly new to the T206 set and always looking to further my knowledge. It seems sometimes the red portrait backgrounds are deep, darker red and other times more orange-red. Was this just variation in printing process or another reason? Also want to make sure it’s not just difference in scanner settings I see on-line and not discernible in-hand. Thanks!

I think the Orange looking ones are from wear from light, but they are not really common, so I guess it's possible that some yellow ink got mixed into the red on a few.

Here are some Orange looking ones (not mine), pics from the web.
