Default OT: Trailer for 42

I know this was brought up before but the trailer was just released. Looks pretty good with Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey. Link is below

I'm a big fan of Soul of the Game. While it might not have been a blockbuster, or acted that well, it was an interesting look at the Jackie Robinson story. I have very high hopes for 42. Harrison Ford looks awesome as Rickey.

Rich - I too have high hopes for the movie. It's been awhile since we had a real good baseball movie come out.

If you see the film and wonder where they filmed a lot of the on field action, you might recognize the great Southern Association stadium, Engel Stadium, in Chattanooga, Tn. (Home of the old Lookouts) This stadium is an historic landmark and has been around since 1880's. I was in Chattanooga while they were finishing the last days of filming, and was able to get a few photo's of the old field. They refurbished it for the movie, and added the "old time" scoreboard, etc. - Retro... Here are a few pics (Turn back the clock) :

I was real happy as well to see that a relatively unknown was playing Robinson. I like to lose myself in the picture and wouldn't have been able to do so if it had been Will Smith or Don Cheadle. Can't wait.

Beatiful pictures of the field, thanks for sharing.

Kinda off topic, but empty stadiums always seem sad to me. Like you can feel the emptiness almost begging for a game to start and fans to cheer.
