Sean B did it the previous years but said last year was the last year he was doing it. So if someone wants to pick the ball up and run with it that would be great. If not then it probably won't happen.

Thanks Leon, I didn't realize that. Thanks to Sean B for putting it together over the years. It was a lot of fun the past years I participated in it. Maybe next year we can try bringing back again.

not as easy to put one together. I am trying to get a bunch of guys (in another group forum we have) and so far only got 4 guys and myself- tho we have a high spend of 75. I started trying about a week & 1/2 ago.

I sincerely hope so. The gift exchange was something I took part in a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed.

Reviving this thread with the hope that we can try again. Any chance we'll have a Net54 Secret Santa gift exchange this year?

If someone wants to pick up the ball and run with it they can certainly have a thread on the front page. I am not the one for it.

Thanks for being open to the idea, Leon.

To everyone else - is there any interest in this? Figured I'd ask while there are at least a couple eyes on the thread.

Would love to see it back but definitely do not have time to organize it.

What does it take to run this? Not volunteering at this point, just asking.

Figure out a price range for the exchange. Have the participants sent you what they have(description not actual item) to give and their address and email. Then pair everyone up with as similar as possible items/eras and send out addresses for the exchange. I think Sean broke it up to modern, pre war, post war, memorabilia/autographs like the forum is.

What the hell. If no one else wants to volunteer to run ... I'll do it. I enjoyed it, and would like to see the tradition continued.

I'll give folks until the end of the day to decide if someone else has a burning desire to do it ...

Cheers,
Patrick

Thank SMPEP.
I asked last year and a few days ago (on another board), it just making sure people sent their gifts out. Pairing is not all that hard and PM addresses.
I am not at all for running one, but will join in the celebration & sharing.

Leon, you might want to lock this thread so there aren't two 2019 Secret Santa threads.
