Default Seems like an incredible amount of Jackie memorabilia

It seems like a remarkable amount of truly iconic Jackie Robinson items have been up for auction recently or are currently up for auction. (Due to the price point and press on these items I assume people will not mind me mentioning them. If this is incorrect I can delete this post.)

Just some I have noticed:

1) 1947 Jackie Robinson Jersey (Heritage)
2) 1946 & 1947 Jackie Robinson Minor League and Rookie Contracts (Goldin)
3) 1956 Final Dodgers Jacket (Lelands)
4) 1947 Jackie Robinson Cap (Lelands)
5) Jackie Robinson Game-used glove (Hunt)
6) Jackie Robinson Game-Used bat (Hunt)
7) HOF induction plaque (Heritage)

Any specific reason why we might be seeing so many items on the market around the same time?

Not sure why it's all hitting concurrently, but you're right. It's amazing how many iconic Jackie pieces are hitting the market right now.

In addition to those you've listed, other Jackie memorabilia includes...

Jackie Robinson Story Movie Poster (REA)
Jackie Robinson 3/4 size Portrait Pennant (REA)
Jackie Robinson 3/4 size Fielding Pennant (Lelands)
Jackie Robinson Full size Blue Pennant (Huggins)
Jackie Robinson Full Size Maroon Pennant (Heritage)
2 Jackie Robinson single-signed Balls (Both Heritage)
Another Jackie Robinson Game-Used Bat (Heritage)

Pretty crazy!

Good point.

I know the Jackie Robinson Foundation is trying to raise funds to build the Jackie Robinson Museum in NYC (see link below), so maybe the family are consignors of the big, historically significant pieces and are trying raise financing?
