Default My PC...let's see yours

A fellow member here and I discussed Jimmy Lavender the other day. I told him why I collected Jimmy and said I'd post what I currently have.

This is one of four projects I have going....so.

And that one that is slightly trimmed....I pick that up for just a few bucks.

I am a player collector at heart (Yaz first and foremost) and I absolutely LOVE seeing other people's player collections. This Lavender collection is so cool!

As I said, I love the idea of a PC thread. I won't post my Yaz stuff here because he's not pre-war, but for those who are so inclined, here is a thread on this site where I show some of my stuff:

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=213419

And a link to my PSA Yaz master set:

http://www.psacard.com/PSASetRegistr...6&m=33062&ac=0

And in keeping with the Jimmy Lavender theme, here is my first and only (so far) T206:

I collect Harry Sutor cards. The first ones below are cards I have, the D310, D311, 1911 Zeenut, 1910 Gilmartin (can you tell why I think Gilmartin Printing took the photos that where used in the 1911 Zeenut Seals cards?), the T212 type 2 and type 3, and the E100 type 1.

The second photos (the small ones), are scans of cards I need, the H998 Western Playground, the T4 Obak premium, the E100 type 2 (from Leon's old collection, pictured with his old type 1), and the T5 Pinkerton (pictured without the mount). So if any of you have those cards and don't really want them, let me know! The picture I used from the T4 Obak is currently on e-bay at $3000, and has been there for two years or so, without me buying it, so I obviously don't have that kind of dough to offer, but I would like to finish this project someday, if anyone has maybe a less fancy card, or willing to trade?

Sorry for the shameless plug, but I did also want to show my collection.

I would love to "hear" the stories behind these collections. Why sutor? Why rigney?

Rigney played his college ball at my alma mater. My goal is to collect every vintage card of every player that went through.

Am I the only one that now can't get the song "Elanor Rigby" out of my head?

Well, no reason really at all for Sutor. I just figured, "why not do a run of Harry?"

Glad you started this thread as I realized I hadn't scanned a lot of my Tommy Bridges stuff since I purchased a new scanner last year. Here's what is by my office desk.

Why Glenn Myatt, you ask
He was a family friend when I was a kid.
He passed in 1969 while I was in the service.
The program is from late game of a double hitter 1926 Wash. vs Cleveland, Glenn got a hit off Stanley Covelesky

Default Lobert back run

I have some stray cards, but my main collecting focus has been an e92 image back run of Lobert and t205 American Beauty backs.

Here is my Lobert collection as it currently stands with a couple of duplicates.

I always like seeing large back runs like this. Great collection!!

Are you missing any Lobert backs that you know of or is this complete?

I am missing 6 known ones. The Mello Mint and Nadja may be near impossible since I am on a limited budget and other collectors need those for sets IF they ever show up again.

When the only Nadja came to market I allocated my funds in a way to attempt to get it and 2 other Loberts. Had I realized how much interest there would be for the Nadja I would have put all my funds towards that one and I don't expect I will ever be able to make up for that mistake.
