Default Mickie Mantle signed Dormand

Anyone else watch this lot in Heritage? I've never seen Mantle sign as "Mickie Mantle". Are there others out there?

It's not "Mickie". It's a pen skip.

Pen skip? It looks like an "ie" to me. I figured maybe it was signed after a long night and he misspelled his own name.

BillyCox3 is correct, it's just a pen skip. Mantle made his "y" in the direction I drew in the arrows on this scan. If you fill in the missing part in the autograph (like I did with the dots), you can see it was supposed to be a "y". Sorry for the low tech example but figured it was better than trying to just use words to describe it

If you look at the signed Mantle card posted by Richard Simon in the April pickups you can see the same style of 'y' as in this postcard.
