I think I remember seeing an old auction description mentioning 3 or 4, but it was an old auction. I wonder what could be crossovers and/or mislabeled cards though too?

I agree, for the apparent rarity and eye appeal of that card, I was thinking the price might be a little higher.
Thanks to everyone for the input so far - hopefully it will continue.

Maybe the notch of paper loss on Ruth’s neck had something to do with it. Many collectors, including myself, won’t tolerate paper loss around the facial area. Especially when you are coughing up $20K.

pretty strong price in my opinion in light of the corner ding and the neck paper loss?

actually it appears numerous examples(including mine) have apparent paper loss in that neck area...im wondering if its a print defect of some kind?
