Default Question on an Al Simmons signed ball.

First off, I know scans would be a lot more useful for the info I am requesting. I may be able to get a photo or two on Monday when I get to my friends store.

A customer has a ball with many signatures on it but most are faded to the point of not being able to identify who they are. The most legible auto is Al Simmons and as my friend puts it, is about 50% faded but still very legible. One other signature that the owner was able to identify was a player (I don't remember the name) that played with Simmons on in 1936. So naturally, he thinks it is a 1936 team ball.......or at least WAS a team signed ball. There is also a "C" and an "M" legible (Connie Mack?) but the rest of the name is faded.

I think he said the ball was an A.L. ball stamped E.S. Barnard Pres.

So my question is: what would the value of a ball like this be worth? What would a be a fair buy price and sale price be?
I assume this could only be sold as an autographed Al Simmons ball and nothing else.

Again, any help is appreciated and I will try to post a few scans on Monday.

Thank you,

Robert

Just a stab in the dark w/o seeing photos, but Simmons himself isn't overly valuable on a ball. For comparisons sake, I had a late 1920's team ball that had George Sisler on it (I am just using him for comparison as neither carry a ton of value by themselves on a team ball). Most of the ball was faded, Sisler was still able to be made out. I think I got $200ish for the ball, it was an official ball as well.

You would have more luck posting this in the autograph section of the board. This is the B/S/T (Buy sell trade) not really where one goes to ask questions.
