Not a bad pick Frank but that '51 Mantle in the original post is fantastic. I would take it over stocks .

I was looking through an old copy of the 1982 Baseball Cards A Collectors Guide today and under a picture of a 51 Bowman it said "could be worth up to $300". In 82 I was 13 and $300 was about as far out of my price range as one is priced now, a long way.

It seems the top name players cards have increased exponentially and kids were priced out even 32 yrs ago.
