No offense to a potential net54 member that posted these but cmon really? These are so out of whack that it's laughable.

Was thinking the same thing. I get that the 1914 CJ prices did surge recently..but..this takes it to a new level.

Well since he is a well known board member, and has been around for a for just little while , I doubt he really expects to get those prices. You could always send him an offer and see what happens.

Then why post them in the first place? I get it may be just a fishing expedition to see if some yokle will buy them at those insane prices...but jeez it's a pain for those of us who check ebay obsessively 900 times a day. lol

+1 and complaining about prices, if you don't like them move on or make a offer.

Someone can price their stuff to the moon for all I care...I was just venting because I have to look at it day after day, month after month because no one in their right mind will be buying at those prices. (along with all those stupid re-prints!). Now please stop responding to a thread posted in the wrong section....

I just moved this to the correct section. Folks should email/PM me to move stuff for them if it needs to be moved. Thanks

ps...I should add, the seller is a good hobby friend....I will have to ask him about those prices...

sorry, but this is the worst! Every two to three weeks I have to scroll past this one in my pre-war search:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1889-Levi-A-...-/191485636900

I think the seller increases the starting price by $500 each time too.

Default Overpriced

I nominate this "beauty" as being the most overpriced:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-Topps-M...item2a4b9f5cc2

Esepcially when this is listed as a buy it now at 1/5th the price (and is still WAY overpriced itself):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-Topps-U...item3ceb519abd

Cheers,
Patrick

In another thread I recalled about his ebay store and how quickly things showed up there after it being purchase he gave a reply that I am sure still applies:

Not really concerned with flipping as most of my oddball stuff is priced high as you can see.

I buy alot of stuff for myself as I did the recent REA lots. So I stick them in my ebay store which costs me nothing and if someone wants them more than I do then so be it.

My ultimate goal is to get most of my collection up in my store eventually.

Of course I haven't even got my show stock half up yet so I may die first of old age.

Any way, my ebay store is basically a place to showcase some of my neat stuff which I have done with some of my rare T206s that I really do not want to part with.

Remember, I didn't want to part with the Aplpha's but they are gone.

Happy Collecting everyone!

You can always exclude him in your searches by putting his ID in exclude. In the auctions, he notes what a nicer shape card of the same player sells for somewhere else and his prices are less than that. And he does accept offers. It's almost to the point if we excluded all the overpriced cards, there wouldn't be much left.................

Eric this one's for you. Don't know why I didn't think of this before but just realized eBay accepts Boolean logic in its searches...so adding -reprint to your searches will do the trick!

Default i do not get the people

that complain about a high or perceived high ebay price it only takes seconds to scroll by it. Also the way many offers come in sellers need to be extra high because many make the same percentage offer regardless of "value"
