Default 1903 "World Series" banner ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the term "World Series" was used for several years. So I'm going to assume this is a fake ?

Default The World Series

You will find numerous contemporary references (fall of 1903) to this event being called or referred to as the World Series, the World's Series and or the World's Championship Series.

Some of the easiest and most plentiful to find are contained in The Sporting Life, a very popular sports periodical of the day.

Definitely don't think that's real -- it's a modern fantasy piece.

The Boston team was not known as the Red Sox until 1908 (and they wore blue and white before then). The piece is definitely a fake.
