Default Help with framing 3x5 autos with photos 8x10's etc....

I was wondering if anyone knew a good place where i could buy Frames/mattes for 3x5 index cards with a photo. I'd also like to see some members' displays if anyone wants to share. I have a lot of 3x5 index cards that just kind of sit around that I'd like to frame with unsigned photos but would like hear/see some ideas. Maybe someone knows where I can buy something just for this? Thanks...

I would check Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I know they have some precut mattes but I don't know what types they have.

You can buy a matte cutter, though don't know what they cost. My sister had one and cut me a custom matte for a signed baseball card.

I had a great framer that had her own business but because of the economic downturn she has gone out of business. I would also try Michaels, or Aaron Bros or even check out some local independent framing shops. You can have them make up a standard template with an 8x10 or 5x7 opening and an opening that would accommodate most signatures on a 3x5. They can keep it on file and you can have it re-made in whatever color you want at any time. Make sure, obviously that you get acid-free matting and get some good UV glass for the front of the frame. Here's a couple of examples of what I like to do (sorry for the bad photos). I like to find photo's I really like and then find the autographs to go along with them and then mat them.

Default One other possibility

One more possibility is on-line or ebay. I found this with a quick check. Never purchased from this person but looks like he has a template in white and will do custom colors if requested.
