Jon,

Great pickup, but can you ID the players for us?

Thank you,

Tony- great Johnson Hindu. i forget if i bid on it or not, at the very least i was certainly watching it. nice combo. i've been collecting rare backs for 20+ years, but only recently have put any emphasis on trying for HOF rare backs.

Here's one i just reacquired.

Default my first Cy Young card

okay - I know this is straying A LOT from my collecting goals, but I've been sad to not have a "filler" card of Mr. Cy Young. I know I'll be waiting a long while (forever?) for an 1890-92 Ryder Studio Cabinet, an 1890 Rogers Studio Cabinet or an 1893 Just So Tobacco.

Until then, this will simply have to do:

Wow! I would hope that card would do in anyone's collection

Great pickup, Derek...congrats!

Thrilled with this win, had a bit of a late night scare but held it. Glad I can finish my Cleveland HoF T run so quickly

I know - I threw up a little in my mouth when I found out I was the high bidder. But I can't complain. It's one of my favorite card images (love the portraits) and I've never owned a contemporary Young. I don't know if I've ever owned a card w/ such perfect centering. Old Cy also happens to be the only HOFer missing from my Helmar Stamps set as well...hint, hint to anyone wanting to sell/trade!

Finally last night won this long-sought Ellam--one of the most unique looking t206s, because he looks like he's about 12--and sort of like me at that age (doing what I was always doing then). And an Old Mill. So I am thrilled.
