Default Mantle / Ripken RC comparison

Anybody ever take notice that the 51 Mantle and Ripken RCs look remarkably similar?

It took me a little while to realize that you meant the 82 Topps Traded Ripken, and not his card from any of the three 82 base sets.

I hadn’t noticed the resemblance before, but that seems like a reasonably common pose on cards.

Default Really?!?

Chins tucked into shoulder, only left arm showing, blue sky with clouds, light pole with lights to the right rear?

It looks like Cal is using his shoulder to take care of an itchy chin problem.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.
