I got exactly what I wanted. And if you will look, you'll see they weren't cheap, either! I think the planes went for opening bid.

The highest priced thing in the auction was a Jackie Robinson from the Doders' barnstorming tour in '56. Well over 3K. I have a Jackie 3 feet off the ground, and I also have a Japanese Jackie (with "Chico Barbon" on it in Japanese)--and besides, I didn't have that much dough!

The Robinson I have, and a Tachibana Doby, and a Ruth phone card are the only Americans in Japan I've ever been interested in...though the two photos of Cobb in that auction were excellent ones. Congrats!

The Crawford is one of my new favorite cards. Plus I have a Lections Hornsby now. Sorry, no photo of that one yet!

even the blind squirrel gets a nut every now and then.......

..or is that the blind nut gets squirelly every now and then..

..and of course the ever present surface wrinkles consistent with the strictest grading in the hobby.

I just received the Ferguson Bakery Pennant of Buck Weaver that I purchased from Rhys. I tried to post a picture but my scan is too large. Perhaps someone more technically gifted can give me some pointers so I can post it.

I got this card from a fellow board member (thanks) - it now ranks right up there among my favorites.

I added this card to my incredibly low grade T206 collection this month. (The Sovereign 460 back was a bit of a pleasant surprise.)

I'm now at 448 of 524.
The Quest Continues.
