Default T206 Yellow Printer's Scrap...SHOW ALL YOU GOT!

These cards are incredible! There's just something about the T206 set that puts cards like this into a different dimension...
Not because it's mine but this one is the nicest I've ever seen!
Show your yellow scrap!

the only SC 150 Yellow Brown scrap I'm aware of known to exist. Almost all of them come as SC 350-460 Fact 30

thanks Sean.. this could have been the very first YB scrap... as the 150 series was well before the 350-460 series .. this card is really unique.. Johnny V has asked me to part with it.. but i cant seem to do it.

Sean I love the Konetchy... that wave of yellow in the middle makes the card look super funky... alought he needs a V8 to straighten out in that SGC holder.

Here's one that isn't actually scrap, but it is missing color. It looks like the yellow/ browns, but with a touch of green. I don't know how to catagorize it:

Yeah, he was trimmed so badly that he floats in that holder.

None right now, but here's a couple I've owned...I always bought the normal version too for comparison. As you can see, the same cards have been owned by others too.

Default Turner..........

To answer your question.....

We are not sure yet....EITHER 1 or 2 SC 350-460 FACTORY #30 sheets escaped being destroyed......Chris Browne and I have been tracking then for a few years now......

Chris has gathered info about the examples that exist, the counts, and the scans..

IT 'S WILD SHIT

Basically, 1 or 2 sheets escaped the factory.....they were supposed to receive the factory #42 designation on the bottom, and the OVERSTRIKE to cover the "FACTORY #30".........the examples shown (except for the 6 super prints) ARE NOT AVAILABLE with that BACK! doesn't get cooler than that

basically, the stahl, elberfeld, street, Seymour, ames, downey, konetchy ECT ECT are NOT AVAILABLE or are "no prints!"

check T206RESOURCE.COM

in order to do a Seymour back run you need the missing "non production " back to truly kick it up a notch!!

like WONKA did with MURPHY, Jamie did with SEYMOUR, or SEAN with STREET......

REALLY amazing guys!

there are literally less yellow brown sc 460 factory 30's existing / known than BROADLEAF 460!

some have a "coffee" stain all over them/fire/ or water damage...(my Matty has BEEN toasted!) I own a stained street snodgras and a few other( 6 in total, waiting for the 7th!)

there is a rumor that some of these cards were in a fire/ water damage from a card shop fire in the 70's......

also, some have a "25" or "30" written in pencil on the back.....rumored to be in a binder .......these being sold at shows in the 70's for "25" and "30" dollars at the time.....

AMAZING HOW THESE SURVIVED! THE MOre stained / damaged , the more amazing the voyage over the century + mark! WOW!

these are missing pieces of history .....missing pieces of yesteryear.....tiny "puzzle" pieces to assemble a SHEET after over 100 years of wondering.....

these yellow browns have more significance than collectors even realize yet....

when Chris assembles a sheet like an archeologist after over 100 + years..... these puppies be sought after a little more.....

CONGRATS to who aquires one far.....no probably don't even know the significance yet, but will be rewarded......

Chris actually adds more VALUE to these everyday as he collects the scans to assemble....

I've already said too much

They were to be scrapped, but a printer(s) took them home for his kids to play with. That's why they have all been cut by hand.
Apparently some were saved and handed down, and found their way into the hobby. Luckily for us.

Default Walsh

Desperately trying to keep this thread alive for Johnny....

I own the Walsh Piedmont 150 scrap that sold in the Goodwin auction back in 2012. Unfortunately, I don't have a scan to post and I cannot easily access the card right now. I tried to pull the scan off the Goodwin website but the links for that particular auction aren't working correctly and the scan is not there (ugh!)

Do any of you print freak freaks have a scan of it by chance? If so, I'd greatly appreciate if someone could post it for me. (Chris?)

The card is definitely scrap because it's got the trademark crooked, hand cut borders and its missing multiple color passes. Though it's not a Sweet Caporal 350-460/30 No Scroll, its certainly worthy of being posting in this thread.

Thanks.

Steve

That is one cool card.
Steve Walsh is about my favorite T206, and to see it as scrap is great.

(thanks Jantz for the view)

Sean: Your post answers a multitude of questions I have had regarding the T206 set, and I certainly bow to this board's expertise on "The Monster."

I have wondered why T206 scrap cards are not considered mis-prints, as per cards that are missing a color, etc. In fact, in the SGC graded cards on this thread, one sees "Color Variation"...so I assume that applies to both scrap and mis-prints (or missing color) cards?

I also wondered what constitutes a T206 scrap card; now I know from your post, and I also understand the rarity of such cards now (before I thought they were just printer errors with several out there....).

Thanks for the education! Always learning, which is greatness!

Default Jay.....

Great QUESTION!!

all scrap ARE hand cut and not issued in ANY packs!

never made it out to the public....only privy to the printers or the DUMPSTER!

AMAZING they survived....every one is like a precious snow flake and different...

they are all unique onto themselves....are all hand cut and NEVER NEVER can have a numerical grade.....

as for "color variation" SGC and PSA basically, just don't know how else to label THEM

they are that mysterious

but myself and a few others here have....

they are quite amazing.....please email me ANYONE with a scrap question...

I LOVE to answer THEM
