I bet most of the vintage collectors on this board would say they saw this coming a mile away. It always boggled my mind that someone would pay $1M for a new 1 of 1 rather than spend that megabuck on vintage material that is what this hobby is about.

It sounds like a lot of quick buck artists are about to get pummeled pretty bad, really fast - aint gonna know what hit them.

What was selling strong at the National? Anything in particular?
Would agree with you Fred, I'm the furthest thing from a prognosticator, all I care about is building a collection the way I want it, the run up has gotten in my way a bit and changed the dynamic. We won't ever go back to old school collecting prices but one can hope every flipper loses money and goes away so we can get back to the business of collecting baseball cards for the sake of collecting baseball cards.

Jerry, I really liked him and was very bummed when he left- he is a Badger through and through. The rumor was he did not leave for football reasons.

Bret Bellyma, LOL. My younger son went to UW Madison. When did you graduate, Ryan?

Default Bielema

Not to get too serious but I had high hopes for Bielema but he never seemed to figure out SEC football...wanting to play bully ball is all well and good but the SEC has 300 lb defensive lineman who can chase down a running back...his best year I thought was 2014 when he came within a hair of beating Bama and shut out LSU and Ole Miss when both were ranked in the top ten I believe...the most pissed I got at him when he was still drunk from the night before at the Toledo game in Little Rock and they ended up upsetting us...we regressed after that...I am far from a teetotaler but you have to have more respect for your job than that...sorry...ready for football season I guess...Jerry

He certainly screwed up a great situation and a very promise if career. Take as old as time. Badgers have a new coach, and a ton of new players this year. I am hopeful

Jay, I graduated in 1996. When did your son graduate?
